Why is AI so important?

With the development of computer science in last decades we hear a lot about artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning recently. However, why is it popular so much? What is exactly the hype behind it?

1) Huge help in science: Science improves itself everyday and the topics become much more complex. In some of the cases, we humans are unable to calculate and rely on the power of computers. Exactly at this point the AI plays a huge role. In complex tasks, that we are struggle to comprehend and calculate, the AI could be a big help to understand these challenging topics.

2) Does jobs, which are dangerous for people: There are lots of jobs, which can be very dangerous for us humans, such as some fabrication processes. AI can offer a huge help there with robotics and vision.

3) Brings help, where we cannot reach: Some of the people, who lives in a big city cannot understand that, but the people from rural areas can relate with that. If you are sick or need immediate help for something, in most of the cases it takes a long time to get some help. AI can help in these situations with drones.
